The Premise

You can keep optimizing the surface. Or you can go down a layer.

Most of what gets called burnout, indecision, conflict avoidance, or chronic over-effort isn't a thinking problem. It's a pattern your body learned a long time ago, running quietly in the background of every decision you make.

The work is to meet it. Not to fix it, not to bypass it — to actually feel what it's been carrying and let it move.

I work with people who are already capable. The question is what they're capable of underneath.

I'm a Core Energetics practitioner and somatic facilitator based in Bali. Most of the people I work with are entrepreneurs, founders, and leaders — people whose lives, on paper, are already working.

What they come to me for isn't more performance. It's the part of themselves they've been managing around for years. The reactivity, the freeze, the pattern that keeps showing up no matter how much they've already worked on it.

This isn't talk therapy. It's not advice. It's the body, the breath, and what's actually moving in you when no one's looking.

Five patterns. One of them is probably running you.

Each of us learned a way to stay safe early on. That way of being became a structure — a default the nervous system runs without asking. Knowing yours is where the work begins.

The Challenger
The One Who Stays Ahead
Power on the outside. Vigilance underneath. The body learned early that staying ahead was the only way to stay safe.
The wound
Betrayal. The early experience that trusting someone with your weight got it dropped on you. The lesson was: stay ahead, or pay for it.
Body signature
Charge held in the upper body. Squared, raised shoulders. A forward lean. The chest puffed, the belly braced. Power thrust upward.
The defense
Dominating, controlling, staying one step ahead. Reading the room for who's a threat, who's useful, who could betray. Compete or submit — both keep contact off the table.
The cost
People who could actually stand next to you. Relationships where you're not also the one in charge. The version of your life that only becomes possible when you stop being the ceiling of everything you touch.
What becomes possible: when the charge in the upper body finally drops down into the ground, what comes isn't insight. It's relief. The relief of not having to hold it all anymore.

The Achiever
The One Who Holds It Together
The reliable one. Self-sufficient, high-standards, controlled. The body learned early that falling apart wasn't an option.
The wound
Love was conditional on performance. Approval was earned, never given. So a version of self was built that could be counted on — and the tender part stayed behind it.
Body signature
Upright, proportional, contained. A rigid spine line. The chest held forward, the heart held faintly behind a wall of armor. Chronic, subtle bracing.
The defense
High standards. Self-sufficiency. Process internally, handle it alone. Show people the polished version. Be the one who doesn't cancel, doesn't reach out, doesn't fall apart.
The cost
Relationships where you're known, not just relied upon. Work that doesn't require you to be the last line of defense. A body that knows how to rest without it feeling like failure.
What becomes possible: discovering you can be soft and still be standing. That the wall was never the only thing keeping you upright.

The Endurer
The One Who Carries Everything
Carries weight quietly. Asks for little. Swallows what should be spoken. The body learned early that having a will was dangerous.
The wound
Will and self-expression were crushed. Saying no led somewhere costly. So the no got swallowed — and the body became a container for everything that couldn't come out.
Body signature
Square, dense, low-set. Head pressed into the shoulders, as if carrying weight above. Heavy arms, short heavy legs. The whole body braced against the ground.
The defense
Tolerance. Over-giving. Staying too long. Saying yes to things the body said no to. Swallowing anger, swallowing resentment — keeping it all underneath the surface so no one has to deal with it.
The cost
Your own desire. Your own voice. A life that's actually yours instead of one you carried for everyone else. The capacity to know what you want without having to apologize for wanting it.
What becomes possible: the weight comes off. Not because someone takes it — because you finally stop picking it up. And underneath, you find what you actually want.

The Merger
The One Who Stays Connected
Reads everyone. Attunes constantly. The body learned early that connection was unpredictable, so it never stopped tracking the other person.
The wound
Connection came and went without warning. Sometimes you were met. Sometimes you weren't. So the nervous system became a radar — always reading, always reaching, never sure what's coming.
Body signature
Soft, round upper body. Under-charged legs that don't quite hold you. A subtle lean toward others, an arm reaching out. The center of gravity outside yourself.
The defense
Shapeshifting to maintain closeness. Reading the smallest shifts in someone's tone, their face, their distance. Adjusting yourself to keep the connection — even when adjusting means disappearing.
The cost
Knowing what you actually feel before checking what someone else feels first. Having a center that doesn't move when other people move. The version of love where you don't have to perform to keep it.
What becomes possible: a body that can stand on its own. Connection that doesn't require you to leave yourself to keep it.

The Leaver
The One Who Pulls Away
Pulls away — mentally, energetically, before anyone else can. The body learned early that the world was unsafe before there were any defenses against it.
The wound
The world arrived too much, too soon, before there was any way to defend against it. So the response was to leave — out of the body, out of the room, out of the contact.
Body signature
Thin, narrow, pulled in. Held close. A sense that part of you is somewhere behind you, watching. Energy that drifts upward and out, away from the ground.
The defense
Dissociation. Emotional exit. Going quiet when things get charged. Being in the room without quite being there. Leaving before anyone can get close enough to hurt you.
The cost
Being met. Being known. The experience of staying when something gets intense — and discovering that you can stay, and you can still be okay.
What becomes possible: arriving in your own body. The discovery that the ground holds — and so do you.

We start where you are

You arrive with whatever's actually present — a pattern, a stuck place, a decision, a relationship, a reactivity you can't think your way out of. We don't reframe it. We start there.

The body comes into the room

We move from talking about it to feeling what's underneath. That might be breath, sound, movement, stillness — whatever the work is actually asking for that day. Nothing performative.

Something shifts

Not always loud. Not always dramatic. Sometimes it's a release. Sometimes it's a recognition. Sometimes it's the first time in years your body lets something move that's been stuck.

Common Questions

The things people ask before they book. Plain answers.

Is this therapy?

No. I'm not a licensed therapist and this isn't a substitute for one. Core Energetics is a body-based modality — it works with what's held in your nervous system and your tissue, not your story or your symptoms. If you're in acute mental health crisis, this isn't the right place to start. For most people, it works well alongside therapy, or instead of it once therapy has plateaued.

Do I need to be in Bali?

No. About half my work is online. The body work translates surprisingly well over video — what matters is presence, breath, and what's actually moving in you. In-person sessions are available if you're in Bali or visiting.

How is this different from coaching?

Coaching usually works with strategy, behavior, and frameworks. This works one layer below — with the patterns your nervous system runs underneath any strategy. Both have their place. Most of the people I see have already done plenty of coaching. They come here for what coaching can't touch.

What if I cry? What if I don't?

Both are fine. There's no version of doing this work right. Some sessions are quiet and internal. Some are loud. Some involve tears, some involve laughter, some involve neither. What matters isn't the expression — it's whether something actually moved that's been stuck.

Is this spiritual?

No. Core Energetics has roots in Wilhelm Reich's clinical work and later somatic psychology — it's a psychological modality, not a spiritual one. I don't work with energy fields, past lives, or anything that requires belief. You'll find no incense, no playlists, no language asking you to surrender to anything.

How many sessions does it take?

Honest answer: depends on what you're after. A single session can shift something specific. Real structural work — the kind that changes how you move through your relationships and your work — takes months, not weeks. The 3- and 6-month containers exist because that's roughly the timeframe in which a nervous system pattern actually reorganizes.
